Making health promotion “tangible” was the title of the Workshop (flyer) of the NGO Alliance for Health Promotion at the 20th IUHPE Conference, 15 July 2010, Geneva. Summary of discussions, photos.
Joint intervention at WHA63 on MDGs, addressing the growing health equity gap through mainstreaming health promotion with special attention to community assets and cultural dynamics. 19 organisations signed up to support the intervention. During the 63rd World Health Assembly the NGO A4HP organized a workshop on “Mainstreaming Health Promotion – Developing an effective toolkit to cover the gap”. As a follow-up action to the Nairobi Conference the A4HP made an intervention in support for a global strategy on health promotion to the WHO Executive Board, 18-23 January 2010. 16 organisations signed up to support the Statement. |
At the WHO 7th Global Conference on Health Promotion, 7GCHP held in Nairobi, 26-30 October 2009 the NGO Alliance for Health Promotion had a unique opportunity to organise one of the 12 sub-plenary sessions entitled:
«Civil Society and NGOs Closing the Implementation Gap»
